- Need to balance agility with security? Orrin ensures that cloud adoption doesn't come at the cost of compliance or control.
Security & Compliance – More Than Just a Box-Ticking Exercise
Security should enable business growth, not slow it down. With increasing regulatory pressure in financial services, healthcare, and critical industries, a proactive security strategy is more important than ever.
- Need to align with Essential 8, SOCI, or financial regulations? Orrin can assess, implement, and optimise security frameworks to protect your organisation while keeping it agile.
- Struggling to keep security from becoming a bottleneck? Orrin’s strategies ensure that security doesn’t slow innovation—it strengthens it.

- Need a compliance-friendly AI strategy? Orrin helps align AI with regulatory frameworks, so you don’t end up in a data privacy nightmare.
Proof of Value – Ensuring Tech Investments Actually Deliver
Too many businesses throw money at technology without proving it will actually deliver results. Orrin has developed a Proof of Value (PoV) framework that ensures new solutions aren’t just shiny objects—but real business enablers.
- Before investing in a major IT project, are you sure it will deliver value? Orrin’s PoV framework validates the business impact before committing to full-scale implementation.
- Tired of vendors promising the world but delivering half-baked solutions? Orrin ensures rigorous testing, business alignment, and clear ROI analysis before you sign on the dotted line.
- Want to trial new technology in a controlled, low-risk environment? Orrin can structure PoV engagements to test solutions in real-world conditions, gathering measurable insights before full deployment.
Orrin’s real-world, outcome-driven approach means that every technology decision is measured, justified, and aligned with business goals—no more expensive IT experiments with uncertain returns.
Orrin has spent three decades fixing broken IT strategies, optimising virtual platforms, and making security actually work. He’s worked across big banks, telcos, global tech vendors, and highly regulated industries, meaning he knows where the pitfalls are—and how to avoid them.

David White
Principal Network Architect

Networks don't fail nicely. They fail at 2am, mid-update, right before the audit. It's worth getting them right the first time.
David White has spent more than 20 years at the deep end of enterprise networking, across data centre, campus, service provider, and wireless environments, throughout Australia, New Zealand, and the wider Asia Pacific. He holds a Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) certification, the field's most demanding credential, and has worked hands-on with every major networking platform, Cisco, HPE, Aruba, Ruckus, Juniper, and Brocade among them.
For most of his career, David sat on the vendor side, leading technical teams and designing complex network solutions for some of the region's largest organisations. That gives him something rare in independent advisory: he knows exactly how vendors position, where the hidden costs sit, and how a network proposal can look impressive and still be the wrong answer.
At ITAAAS, David brings that experience to the client's side. He leads network operations reviews and network services audits, giving organisations an honest, vendor-neutral read on the state of their infrastructure, what's at risk, what's costing more than it should, and what to do next. No hardware to sell, no commission waiting at the end.
If your network has grown organically over the years, if nobody's quite sure what's running where, or if you're heading into a procurement, a migration, or an audit and want an independent assessment first, David is the expert to call.
- Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert, Routing & Switching (CCIE-RS #3740)
- Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)
- Electrical Engineering Certificate
- 20+ years across data centre, campus, service provider, and wireless networks throughout Asia Pacific
Principal Network Consultant, ITAAAS
- Leads independent network operations reviews and network services audits for enterprise and multi-site clients.
- Recent work includes a large Education Network Operations Review and network services audits around region.
- Translates technical network findings into clear risk, cost, and remediation advice for both IT teams and executive stakeholders.
Senior Manager, Systems Engineering ANZ, Ruckus Networks (2016–2024)
- Led the technical team across Australia and New Zealand, opening new markets in service provider, mining, and healthcare.
- Delivered major wireless and networking programs including a whole-of-portfolio refresh across 2,500 New Zealand schools for the Ministry of Education, and a large-scale WiFi-IoT environment for BHP's mining accommodation.
- Built partner accreditation and engineering specialisation programs, one of which was adopted globally.
Principal Systems Engineer, Director APAC, Brocade (2011–2015)
- Regional technical lead for Ethernet data centre and service provider networks across Asia Pacific.
- Designed and delivered high-stakes networks including the Marina Bay Sands surveillance network in Singapore (supporting 4,000 CCTV cameras with fully redundant failover) and data centre infrastructure for Korea Expressway Corporation.
Systems Engineering Manager, Service Provider APAC, Brocade (2009–2011)
- Managed the service provider technical team across India, South-East Asia, ANZ, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Korea.
- Supported carrier-grade network design for major telecommunications providers, including a national MPLS backbone for Vocus and 4G mobile backhaul for Lintasarta in Indonesia.
Systems Engineering Manager, Foundry Networks (2000–2008)
- Opened Foundry's Australian operation, growing it from a standing start to more than $12M in annual revenue over eight years.
- Delivered demanding networks including a low-latency data centre for Optiver and an MPLS backbone for Sydney Trains supporting ticketing, CCTV, SCADA, and platform information systems.
Network Operations Reviews, An Honest Health Check
Most networks are documented in someone's head and held together by years of "we'll fix that later." David gives you an independent, structured view of what's actually running.
- Not confident your network is performing or secure as it should be? David assesses the environment end to end and tells you straight.
- Lost the institutional knowledge when key staff moved on? He rebuilds the picture and documents it properly.
Network Services Audits, Before You Sign Anything
Procuring network or connectivity services, renegotiating with a carrier, or inheriting an environment through a merger? An independent audit first means you negotiate from knowledge, not from the vendor's slide deck.
- Heading into a procurement or contract renewal? David benchmarks what you have against what you're paying for.
- Evaluating competing vendor proposals? Having sat on the other side for two decades, he knows precisely what to look for.
Wireless, Data Centre, and Service Provider Networks
- Planning a campus or multi-site WiFi refresh? David has delivered wireless at national scale and holds formal wireless certification.
- Running complex data centre or carrier-grade connectivity? He has designed and assessed these environments for some of the region's most demanding clients.
David is a networking specialist to his core, not a generalist with a diagram tool. A career spent winning and delivering complex networks for the vendors means he knows where the traps are, because he used to set some of them.
- 🔧 CCIE-level depth across data centre, campus, service provider, and wireless.
- 🔍 Independent assessment from someone who knows how vendors really compete.
- 😂 Serious about uptime. Refreshingly relaxed about everything else.

Flynn Costello
Cloud & Finops Consultant

In the new world of AI, the ground shifts weekly. That's exactly why the details matter more, not less.
Flynn builds things that work. He's a cloud consultant and a hands-on AI application builder, equally at home auditing a cloud environment, designing an agentic AI workflow, or shipping custom software that replaces the spreadsheet everyone's been quietly suffering. While still at university he founded his own cloud consultancy, Harbour Point Digital, and he currently holds a Technology Lead role with a health and veterinary sector business, where a single infrastructure audit delivered a 92% reduction in cloud spend. Not a typo. Ninety-two.
Where much of the ITAAAS team brings decades of hard-won experience, Flynn brings something that pairs with it neatly: he sits right at the front of current cloud and AI practice, hands-on across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. He's drawn to the messy, complicated problems, the ones where the answer isn't obvious, and he holds to a simple principle that fits the ITAAAS approach exactly: the faster the technology moves, the more the small details decide whether it actually works.
At ITAAAS, Flynn leads cloud cost reviews, AI build and readiness engagements, and automation projects. That means looking past the vendor dashboards to the real questions: are you spending the right money in the right places, is your environment genuinely ready for AI, and will the thing you build actually get used?
If your cloud spend has crept up without a clear reason, if you're under pressure to "do something with AI" and aren't sure where to start, or if you need a specialist to actually build the solution rather than just diagram it, Flynn is the one to call.
- Bachelor of Advanced Computer Science and Bachelor of Commerce, University of Sydney (currently completing, expected 2027)
- Dalyell Scholar, High Distinction average (WAM 90.5), University of Sydney Academic Merit Prize
- Hands-on across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, cloud migration and cost optimisation, AI and automation, data systems, and custom software development
Cloud & AI Consultant, ITAAAS
- Leads cloud cost reviews, AI build and readiness engagements, and automation projects, aligning spend and AI investment to real business outcomes.
- Delivered the Port Macquarie Hastings Council AWS Cost Review, identifying optimisation opportunities and shaping a costed implementation roadmap.
- Co-delivered the Intrax AI Readiness Workshop in Melbourne, helping leadership assess where AI could realistically add value, and where it couldn't yet. [Confirm you're happy naming these clients publicly.]
Founder, Harbour Point Digital (2024)
- Founded a cloud consultancy while still at university, an early mark of the initiative and technical depth he brings to client work.
- Delivered cloud modernisations, infrastructure audits, and cost optimisation projects.
- Built AI and automation solutions, including agentic AI workflows, automated data pipelines, and internal tooling.
Technology Lead (Contract), BusiVet / BusiHealth (2024–Present)
- Owns the company's technology strategy, infrastructure, and innovation roadmap, leading an internal development team and external contractors.
- Performed a full cloud infrastructure audit, rightsizing resources and removing redundancy for a 92% reduction in cloud spend.
- Built a proprietary location analytics data system for the health and veterinary sectors on Azure, covering ingestion, cleaning, analysis, and visualisation.
- Replaced manual spreadsheet processes with purpose-built software and migrated legacy workflows to a modern Azure data infrastructure with automated reporting.
Cloud Cost Reviews, Stop Paying for Things You Don't Use
Cloud spend has a way of growing quietly until someone finally asks the hard question. Flynn asks it early, and backs it with numbers.
- Cloud bill creeping up with no clear explanation? Flynn finds where the money's going and what's safe to cut.
- Need to justify cloud spend to the board? He translates technical usage into clear commercial terms.
AI Builds and Automation, From Idea to Working Solution
Plenty of organisations are under pressure to adopt AI. Far fewer have someone who can actually build it well, and tell them honestly when it isn't ready yet.
- Told to "do something with AI" but not sure where to start? Flynn runs a structured readiness assessment grounded in your actual environment, then builds what makes sense.
- Drowning in manual, repetitive work? He designs and builds automation and agentic workflows that give your team their time back.
Cloud Modernisation and Data Systems
- Running on legacy workflows and spreadsheets held together by hope? Flynn replaces them with modern, maintainable systems.
- Need a data environment that's actually usable? He builds pipelines and analytics that turn raw data into something you can act on.
Flynn is the person who builds the thing, not just the slide about the thing. He pairs strong technical delivery with a genuine focus on whether the work actually pays off, and he's at his best on the hard, knotty problems most people would rather avoid.
- 📊 Real cloud savings, measured rather than promised.
- 🤖 Builds AI that works, and is honest about when it won't yet.
- 😂 Genuinely interested in your cloud bill. Someone has to be.

Business Manager, GTM A/NZ — Arista Networks
- Drove commercial go-to-market across Australia and New Zealand for one of the fastest-growing networking vendors in the region.
- Built and ran the commercial segment and distribution motion across ANZ, spanning partner incentives, programme design, and distributor performance.
- Part of the team through a period of significant regional growth in customers, revenue, and headcount.
- Earlier channel and commercial roles that built the foundations: partner management, telephony and security sales, and a healthy scepticism about slideware.
- Entering or re-entering the ANZ market without local channel headcount? Kate builds and runs the partner motion fractionally, so you get senior capability without the salary.
- Partner programme not producing? She'll tell you honestly whether the problem is the programme, the partners, or the expectations, and fix the right one.
- Need new partners, or need the ones you have to actually sell? Kate has run recruitment and enablement motions from the vendor side and knows what makes partners lean in.
- Carrying vendor programmes nobody has time to work? Kate helps partners prioritise, activate incentives, and turn dormant vendor relationships into pipeline.
